Cybersecurity: Innovation, entrepreneurship and technological trends

Technological advancement has brought with it the need to develop and implement innovative solutions in the field of cybersecurity. In 2024, significant development is expected in new cybersecurity technologies to safeguard data and business systems (Palacios, 2023). Cybersecurity is essential to protect systems, networks and programs from digital attacks, since cyberattacks can aim to access, modify or destroy confidential information, extort users or interrupt business continuity (Anatomy of an attack, 2023).

However, the need for investment in staff training and the prevention of errors that may put the information security in companies at risk is highlighted (Méndez et al., 2022).

To stay up to date in this field, it is essential to follow cybersecurity trends through essential sources of information, such as reports and studies prepared by specialized entities, events and conferences, as well as podcasts and other resources that explore the latest threats and innovative solutions ( Castro, 2023). Cybersecurity training is also crucial, addressing topics relevant to staff awareness and preparation in preventing computer risks (12 Essential Topics for Security Training for 2023, n.d.).

In summary, cybersecurity is not only essential to protect information in an increasingly interconnected digital environment, but also represents an opportunity for innovation and entrepreneurship. Staying on top of trends, investing in staff training and exploring solutions developed by specialized startups are key aspects in this constantly evolving field.
